History repeats itself. 20 years ago, you’d find white and blue decks at the final tables of big tournaments, with counterspells and exile effects keeping the board clear until it was safe to resolve their game-winning angel.

The plan hasn’t changed much, but the cards have: What used to be Serra Angel for a win condition is now Leya Dawnbringer. Swords to Plowshares? Seal Away is a little more restrictive but you can’t argue with the results. Planeswalkers didn’t exist as cards back in the day, but Gideon, Teferi and Karn all make their presence felt here.

Fumigate is a strong board wipe in the flavor of Wrath of God, and the rest of the deck comes together with standard staples Walking Ballista and Cast Out.
