Version 1.4 brings six upgrades that make browsing and working with MIDI files faster, smarter, and way less frustrating. Good boy features only. 🐕
🔁 Loop Regions
Click and drag in the Piano Roll to mark exactly the bars you want. Snap to beats, double-click to clear. Drag your looped section straight into the DAW. Loops save per file - because MidiBro actually remembers things. Unlike your dog. Or your DAW project from 2016.
✂️ Split MIDI
Three split modes: "By Channel" to see what's really inside multi-channel files. "By Drum" to isolate every hit by pitch with GM drum names. "By Chords" to split block chords into individual voices - each on its own MIDI channel. Finally, your strings and pads don't have to share one hand.
⏩ Playback Speed Control
Speed chips from 0.25x to 2x - tap and preview instantly. Master Tempo locks every file to your project BPM. That "chill lo-fi beat" at 180 BPM? Now it actually sounds chill. Slow it down. Who's a good tempo? You are. 🐶
🔍 Column Header Filters
Click the funnel icon on Key, Tempo, or Duration. Set your range or use preset chips (Slow/Medium/Fast). Active filters show as removable chips. No more scrolling through 40,000 files hoping for the right one. MidiBro fetches exactly what you need. 🦴
🥁 Drum Folder Marking
Right-click any folder → Mark as Drums. Smart Collections and Key searches now ignore drum files automatically. Your "Key of C" search finally shows melodies, not kick patterns.
📁 File Management
Rename, Delete, Change BPM - all from right-click. Multi-select works too. Drag MIDI files from Finder into the folder tree. Hold Shift to move instead of copy.
