"The Flute and the Jug" is a Soviet animated film released by Soyuzmultfilm in 1950. Based on the fairy tale of the same name (1940) by Valentin Kataev. According to the plot, the main character faces a situation where she can't have both—a flute and a jug.

Plot.
One summer day, Petya, Zhenya, and Pavlik went into the forest to pick berries. While picking berries, they chanted:
I pick one berry,
I look at another,
I notice a third,
And I see a fourth.

As it turned out, this was hard work, which Zhenya really didn't like. But she met an old man, a native forest spirit, who asked to be called "grandfather" (and not "uncle," which he didn't like). He was the local patron of mushrooms and berries. He gave the girl a magic flute, which, when played, opened the grass so that the berries became clearly visible. However, in exchange for the flute, he asked for a small jug. To pick berries, she absolutely needed both, because after a few seconds, the berries were gone again. Picking berries with just one of them wasn't working. Eventually, Zhenya came to the right decision and began picking strawberries herself. The cartoon ends with the following song:

All together:
Strawberry jam
Will be with tea on Sunday,
But lazy people and those who are lazy
Shouldn't sit at this tea!

Petya:
Let them know it!

Pavlik:
Let them know it!

Zhenya:
Angry mushroom, goodbye!
I promise as we part,
That I won't be capricious
And I'll stop being lazy.
I'll be good,
I'll be good!
