The "PROPER" formula in Excel is used to capitalize the first letter of each word in a text string. Here are the steps to use the "PROPER" formula in Excel:

Type your text into a cell in Excel.

Select the cell where you want the capitalized text to appear.

Type "=PROPER(" into the formula bar.

Click on the cell containing the text you want to capitalize.

Type ")" to complete the formula and press Enter.

The cell with the "PROPER" formula will now display the capitalized text. If you want to apply the "PROPER" formula to a range of cells, you can drag the formula down or copy and paste it into the other cells.
