The top portion of your Linkedin profile has several elements including your photo, banner image, headline, and about summary.
The banner image is the rectangular box located right behind your picture. If you don’t have one specially created or designed, you probably have a generic one already set.
In the same way you shouldn’t have your profile picture blank, your LinkedIn banner should also not be blank.
In fact, not having a LinkedIn profile banner can prevent you from getting an all-star profile ranking which is where you want to be.
