Carlos Castaneda said that the world we know is merely an interpretation. We create the world in our perception.
The beam of perception focuses on a point. This is called the assemblage point. Fixing the assemblage point creates a stable picture of the world. Movement of the assemblage point changes the picture of the world.
A slight shift of the assemblage point alters the state of consciousness. A strong shift transports you to another world. You tune into it.
The familiar world only seems ordinary and natural. The world is a tuning of perception. Thus, in the infinite volume of events, the observer glides through scenarios.
Castaneda is considered a charlatan and is not favored in scientific circles. But his "Tales of Power" are surprisingly consonant with the modern theories of authoritative scientists.
