Hi guys its sterling specter here, in todays video I’m going to show you guys how to mine conflux. But firstly im going to just give you guys a generalisation of what conflux is and how it work. So this coin is not to be confused with the flux coin as they aren’t the same thing, but if you came here looking to mine flux I have a video on my channel on how to mine it. So Conflux is always around the top of the what time mine list and normally sits either second or third as seen here. As with most coins conflux also heavily believes in decentralization and for a while there main focus has been on helping crypto in China. As of right now they are the only regulatory compliant, public and permissionless blockchain that works in China which as we all know is a massive market. They are striving to build borderless transactions and technologies for all their crypto projects. The reason I like conflux is because it really has a core focus of decentralisation and have their own consensus algorithm which basically is designed to maximize security and scalability without sacrificing decentralization. As we know it has been a problem that when crypto currency’s scale up they tend to become more centralized to things such as exchanges, however conflux is trying to combat this.
So now we have gone over what conflux is, lets get into how to mine this coin. the first step when mining is to set up a wallet for the coin to be mined into, conflux offer their own native wallet on their website and can be set-up online, there are also various offline wallets that you can download to hold conflux. However for the purpose of this video we are going to set up a wallet on an exchange such as binance as it allows for your coins to be mined straight into an exchange and from there you can sell they straight away. So do to this you want to go over to binance.com and log in, once there you want to click on wallet and go to the fiat and spot tab, next just type CFX into the search bar and the Conflux coin will show up. Then you want to click deposit on the far right and it will take you to your wallet page, it auto generates a wallet number for you as seen here. Now we have a wallet address generated we want to chose a miner to start mining. there are four main miners you can use for this coin and these are t-rex miner, nbminer, nano miner and bminer. I’m going to use nbminer as I found its always the easiest to use, so download nbminer you can just type it in on google and the GitHub will show at the top of the page, from here you can download the latest version of the miner. Now once you’ve downloaded the miner you’ll want to set up your file for mining. We are going to do this by picking a mining pool, there are serval mining pools you can choose from however we are going to be using nanopool. So once on the website you want to find the Conflux coin tab, then click on the quick start button, this page will show the different regions that you can mine in and the different ports to use. So we now want to set up the miner file, if we head into our nbminer folder it will show us all these batch files, we are looking for one that says start conflux. Once you’ve found it youll want to right click and hit the edit button, a windows defender pop-up will show and youll want to click more info and then run anyway. So this is the command line for the miner and it tell the computer where to mine and what to mine. So we want to edit this text because it doesn’t have the right pool and port number and also does have the correct wallet address. We want to head back to the nanopool website and copy whichever host corresponds to your region then we want to paste it over the host in the miner file like this, we then do the same for the port number like this. Last thing to do is to copy your wallet address from binance and paste it over the wallet address in the file. Now we are ready to start mining, if we just double click the miner file it should start running and will start mining, you’ll know if it has worked because it will load in your GPU’s and then a share will be confirmed which means that you’ve started mining. Now from here you can overclock your cards to get more hashrate.
If you guys have struggled to set up your miner then I offer help on my discord where I answer mining questions and try to fix issues when it comes to mining, if you want to join the discord the link is in the description.
