Now then guys 'ow we doin? Back on't Rainbow Road again.
After a Truth-Hz meet up in the Scottish wilderness we did a few laps round Mario Kart 64's RR course as an experiment in the 2.5th dimension. The powerup prince Ronnie Loko kept everyone's feet movin which is a challenge when you're driving a tiny kart high speed through a big winding ribbon of multicoloured track.
This one took a surprising amount of time to recreate because it's so damn hard to incorporate 2D into 3D, the devs of some SNES / N64 era racing classics really pulled off some madness in that respect and Mario Kart 64 is no exception (to the point a lot of people seem genuinely surprised to find out they weren't actually fully rendered 3D models).
RIP to anyone who suffers from motion sickness, get them browser tabs switched and enjoy the mix LET'S-A-GO!
