First, check your app permissions. Tap and hold the TikTok app icon, go to "App Info" or "Permissions," and make sure "Storage" or "Media Access" is set to "Allow." This grants TikTok access to your gallery.
Second, clear the app cache. Go to your profile, tap the three lines (hamburger menu), select "Settings and Privacy," then scroll to "Free Up Space." Tap "Clear" next to the cache option. If the issue persists, also clear data from your device settings, but this will log you out.
Third, make sure the photo you are trying to add is in a supported format. TikTok accepts JPEG and PNG files. If your image is in a different format, convert it before uploading.
