How to record sound Windows Vista

In this video I will show you how to record sound without a microphone. Steps:
1. Open the Start menu and select Control Panel
2. Select Hardware and Sound
3*. Click Sound ( a new window will open)
4. In the new window select Recording
5. Right-click the empty space and select "Show Disabled"
6. Stereo mix should appear in the list (if it is already there skip step 5)
7. Right-click Stereo mix and select Enable
8. Right-click all other devices and select Disable
9**. Open the Start menu and select All Programs
10. Find the Accessories folder and open it
11. Open Sound recorder ( use it too record any sound played through the speakers)
You can skip steps 1-3 by right-clicking the speaker icon next to the clock and selecting Recording devices.
** If you want to record sound on Hypercam 2 follow the steps to 8 and then do the following:
1. Select AVI file and tick the box "Record Sound" 2. Select Sound and tick the "Record Sound" box.
3. When you start recording a new video HC2 will also record the sound the PC/MAC is playing.
Oh and one more thing: you can download any other sound recording programme and use it in the same way just as long as Stereo mix is enabled.
Edit: Stereo Mix Issue
On some computers Stereo Mix may still not appear even after clicking to show disabled devices. If this is the case then you must either get a new sound card or you can use a programme called I-Sound recorder which does the same thing even if Stereo Mix isn't enabled.
