The Zada rifle is a tactical version of the traditional Striker base. Its design improves weapon control and also makes its appearance more similar to sniper rifles.
The rifle's technical features include a spring-piston mechanism with a rotating block and a 420mm barrel. It operates using the force generated when the compressed spring is released. This design eliminates the need for air tanks—pressure is created by compressing air in a compressor.
The barrel of this Zada variant is chambered in 4.5mm, making it accessible to shoot. The mechanism's potential allows the rifle to accelerate to 245 m/s and beyond, but only in the internationally available configuration.
Models for Russia are adjusted to maintain a constant 3 J. This configuration makes the Hatsan Zada rifle easy to use.
Operating the airgun requires no special skills. To prepare for firing, simply press the barrel down, insert a round into the exposed breech, and return the blank to its original position.
The weapon's fittings are designed for a popular tactical sniper rifle—a plastic stock with a pistol grip makes aiming more maneuverable. This also impacts the weight—the Hatsan rifle weighs 3.15 kg, lighter than traditional wood versions.
A pre-installed front and rear sights can be used for aiming. Among the advantages of the system are the Truglo inserts, which illuminate the sights in the dark.
Furthermore, the manufacturer has not forgotten the option of mounting a scope. A combination rail has been implemented for this purpose. The base of the part functions as an 11mm dovetail mount, making it easy to install budget-friendly scopes. If more serious optics are needed, 22mm Weaver rings can be used—the corresponding grooves are located on the top of the mounting base.
