This week we bring you Pirozhki, a Russian meat pie. Pirozhki are a popular street food and comfort food in Russia, which today we will get to taste in the comfort of our home.

Piroshki are Russian and Ukrainian yeast-leavened boat-shaped pies with a variety of fillings. These are one of a kind pies that are traditionally fried. These days, however, people bake it too.

For this recipe, you will find the list of ingredients below.

INGREDIENTS:
For dough:
all-purpose flour - 4 cups
yeast - 2 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
melted butter - 2 tbsp
vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
warm water - 1 cup

For meat filling:
olive oil - 1 tbsp
beef/pork mix - 400g
onion - 1/4 cup
ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp
lawry's seasoning - 1 tsp
garlic cloves - 3
dill (fresh) chopped - 1 tbsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil for frying

Rice (washed and rinsed) - 1 cup
chicken stock - 2 cups
