My name is Vairea Tupana Samn and I am one of your potential grantees. In this video you will hear from Rina Brenner, a well-established 'Ori Tahiti (Tahitian dance) champion & teacher here in California. You will also hear from Tylon Teaitu Buendia, also a world champion in the Tahitian dance community & like me, he is one of the only indigenous Ma'ohi cultural practitioners living in the Bay Area. Both Rina & Tylon express their support for me as a grant recipient & will explain about how working with me has both informed & impacted their work as teachers.
