National Science Day 2022 ଜାତୀୟ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ଦିବସ ୨୦୨୨ ,
National Science Day is celebrated to commemorate discovery of the 'Raman Effect', which led to Indian scientist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman or CV Raman winning the Noble Prize in Physics in 1930.
On the occasion of National Science Day, Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir ,Ghodabazar,Puri organized a mini science exhibition and different competitions at its school premises. Around 400 enthusiastic students from grades iv– x of the school participated in the event and demonstrated their innovative ideas through several fascinating projects, Quiz , paper cutting, scientific experiments, scientist photo collection competitions ,etc.
Mr. Tapan Kumar Raut, Principal scientist and Head of Research and Technology , TATA steel was the Chief Guest . In his remarks, he praised the students for their dedication and efforts and commended the school for organizing and hosting such a well-coordinated event to mark National Science Day.
Speaking about the event, Mr. Himansu Kumar Mohanty, Principal, TRL Krosaki Refractories ,Ltd, said, “It was truly wonderful to see the overflowing enthusiasm among the students during the science event."
Mr. Aurobinda Das , Pradhan Acharya , SSVM , Ghodabazar ,Puri said, "I am amazed by student's scientific bent of mind, and I am grateful to our teachers for making this event successful”
In the end, 98 students were prized for their great performance.
