Objective :
Using number cards to create the largest 5 - digit number and rounding off the numbers nearest to thousand, in a place value mat through a game played by two students.
Material Required:
1. Number Cards
2. Place value mat
Procedure:
1. The game is played between two students.
2. Without seeing the digits, student takes out 5 number cards from the deck of cards and place them on the place value mat as per his/her own choice.
3. Student B follows the same procedure and gets the number.
4. Now both students will compare their numbers.
5. Since student A has a larger number, he is the winner in this game.
6. Now the game can be extended like this:
Student A and Student B will round off the numbers to the nearest thousand.
7. Student who has greater value is the winner.
