While watching, please keep in mind that this video is meant to shepherd you into a game without having to think all too much about every single detail Rimworld throws at you. It's not going to be very in-depth or anything, but more about setting up a survivable colony so you can learn this wonderful game yourself.
Watch the BigHugeNerd play Rimworld Beta 18 while giving you some basic beginner tips and tricks on how to start your colony in the world on the Rim. This is a quick and easy way on how to play Rimworld, how to start your colony and maybe get over that new colony anxiety.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me any and all you have. I probably have an answer to anything you can ask, though depending on the question the answer might not be correct.
This isn't intended as an end all be all solution to everything that is possible in Rimworld Beta 18, but the intention is to show a simple and easy way to get you started if you've never played before or struggle with knowing what to do in the very beginning of a new Rimworld colony.
This is basically a very relaxed approach on how to play Rimworld, some easy tips and tricks for setting up your colony right and making sure you don't immediately die to hunger, raiders or squirrels. Trust me, I've died to squirrels. There was a swarm of them.
I plan on making this a regular series with a couple videos every week for a few weeks at least. Giving you some beginner tips, advanced tips, useless tips and just some interesting and/or silly things from my time in Rimworld. This game is, in my mind, the pinnacle of indie gaming. The Rimworld gameplay is among the most addictive I've ever encountered.
