Being a one-man team sounds almost superhuman and fit more for a comic book or a TV series than for real life, however, it is more common than you think. Today, we’re sitting with Desmond Gukwe to discuss how fulfilling multiple roles within the data space simultaneously can impact not just your career but the organization and yourself.
Desmond is a business intelligence (BI) lead who has filled many challenging roles from Data Scientist at TwentyTwo Seven (22Seven), to being the Data Engineering and BI specialist at Debtline and finally, commandeering BI to its fullest at The Student Hub.
We’ll be unpacking hot trends in data and how to prepare for them, the mental health implications of having such a high-level of responsibility within a key aspect of the organization and how people eager to enter into data, can best prepare.
