StreamCraft Live turns Minecraft into a real-time streaming video experience. Webcam billboards float above your player character and desktops can be streamed with high resolution with audio diretly into the game. Built on WebRTC technology with custom native capture for Windows, macOS, and Linux so it feels fast and performant on all machines.
In this demo I walk through:
Opening the StreamCraft menu and selecting capture devices
Going live with a webcam billboard above my character
Placing a StreamCraft display block and linking it to a monitor
Fine-tuning position, tilt, distance, and size of the screen share
A live moment from a Hermitcraft-style recording session on our SMP

🔧 HOW IT WORKS
Each player's webcam and screen are captured natively (ScreenCaptureKit on macOS, V4L2/PipeWire on Linux, GDI/Media Foundation on Windows), encoded, and routed through a global WebRTC stack. The server mod brokers JWT tokens and handles proximity so you only see streams from players near you. Native binaries are bundled inside the JAR so there are no runtime downloads.
