Nate Diaz is an American mixed martial artist and professional boxer who is currently a free agent. Diaz is most known for his time spent fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he fought for over 15 years after winning The Ultimate Fighter 5.
It took almost five years, but Nate Diaz finally got his revenge over Jorge Masvidal in a professional boxing ring Saturday.
Diaz defeated Masvidal by majority decision in their 10-round match, which headlined a pay-per-view event at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Two of the three judges scoring the bout, which saw competitive, back-and-forth action, scored it for Diaz via scores of 98-92 and 97-93. A third scored it an even draw at 95-95.
The victory avenged Diaz's third-round TKO loss to Masvidal from November 2019, when the two met in the UFC's first BMF title fight. Masvidal won when a physician ruled Diaz couldn't continue due to a cut; Diaz didn't agree. After Saturday's win, Diaz called for two more rematches, Jake Paul, who defeated him in boxing last year, and UFC champ Leon Edwards.
UFC CEO Dana White got everyone in the MMA community's attention on Wednesday night, August 28. Dana White took to IG Live and teased a handful of bombshell announcements. Usually, Dana White doesn't make his announcements live, and this session on IG wouldn't qualify as an announcement as there were no hardline confirmations.
However, White did share promising vibes about the near future of dealings with Conor McGregor, Max Holloway, Charles Oliveira, and Alexander Volkanovski.
“Conor news coming up, we’ve got Oliveira news coming up,” White said. “We’ve got Chandler news coming up. We’ve got Max Holloway news coming up. All that good shit. Coming soon.”
Former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira has been awaiting his next booking since a loss to Arman Tsarukyan this past April at UFC 300. “Do Bronx” was expected to earn a UFC title shot and a rematch with Islam Makhachev with a win over Tsarukyan, but now seeks to knock off another top name at 155 pounds to remain in the championship discussion.
As for Holloway, White’s mention of the “BMF” champion was odd given that Holloway is already booked to fight undefeated featherweight titleholder Ilia Topuria at UFC 308 on Oct. 26. However, given that Holloway is currently a contender at both 145 and 155 pounds, perhaps there are already plans for Holloway at lightweight regardless of the UFC 308 main event result.

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were both coaches on TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) however the show finished months ago. Michael Chandler has been extremely patient especially when Conor has continually delayed entering the USADA testing pool. Conor McGregor was also recovering from a leg break he obtained in his fight with Dustin Poirier.
Michael Chandler is an American professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the Lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Chandler previously competed for Brllator MMA from 2010 through 2020 where he became a three-time Bellator three time Lightweight Champion.
Conor McGregor recently bought a percentage of a bare knuckle promotion. Before this though, he voiced his anger at Ryan Garcia for a failed drug test. Ryan Garcia was later found not guilty on all charges. McGregor also brought up Sean O'Malley in his tweet, offering to fight both him and Ryan Garcia for using PEDs.
Conor Mcgregor has been constantly promoting his brand of Forged Stout recently and he's usually surrounded by girls. He was in his pub in Dublin and was asked a number of questions in relation to a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz and his TUF coaches fight against Michael Chandler.
