DR650 HWY TEST with 14T Front sprocket & OFF ROAD Tires
Final installment to show the highway cruising capabilities of the Suzuki DR650, this time with a smaller front sprocket & more aggressive knobby tires. With this current configuration , 65mph is the happy medium speed to cruise at on the freeway for long hauls , while stock gearing I was comfortable at 75 mph for those long hauls. The difference though was in the added ability in off-road ability gained with the smaller sprocket. This made a huge difference for me & was worth changing to a smaller front sprocket.
