Syllabus of the Entrance Exam:
The exam is divided into two Papers.
Paper 1 consist of OMR based objective type questions.
Paper 1 will have 60 questions and each question will be of 1 marks.
Syllabus of Paper 1 is :-
General Awareness
Logical Thinking
Reasoning
Comprehension
Paper 2 consist of Essay Writing:
The total marks for Paper 2 will be 60 marks.
Candidates will have to write 2 essays.
Both the essay consist of 30 marks each.
The total time given for the exam is 3 hours.
There is 1 hour for OMR based Objective type question paper i.e. Paper 1.
And 2 hour is for the Essay Writing i.e. for the Paper 2.
How to Apply:
The only way to apply is online through the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia.
The candidate has to first registered himself/herself first.
Fill the required details :-
Full Name of the Candidate.
Date of Birth.
Gender.
Father's Name.
Mother's Name.
Email ID.
Create your password.
Confirm password.
Applicant's mobile number.
Fill the Captcha.
After clicking on Sign Up, Candidate got registered.
Then, with your Email ID and Password Log in to the portal.
Fill all the asked details.
Make the payment and your application will be submitted.
After that wait for the admit card.
Features of the Scheme
There will be an entrance test to secure admission to this programme.
Admission will be on the basis of merit only.
There will be two paper in the entrance test.
The written test will be in English, Hindi and Urdu Language.
The duration of the test will be of 3 hours.
There will be negative marking for objective type questions i.e. for the Paper 1.
1/3 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.
Paper 1 is of objective type and consist of general awareness, logical thinking, reasoning, and comprehension.
Paper 2 will consist of essay writing.
The total marks of the exam including both the papers is 120.
Essay of only top 900 students will be evaluated on the basis of objective type test of Paper 1.
The total marks for the Interview/personality test will be 30.
In case of a tie, higher marks in interview will be taken as the basis of selection.
If still there is tie then the younger student will get the seat.
Any candidate who has availed the facilities of Residential Coaching Academy of Jamia Millia Islamia for three years and has never appeared for Civil Services Interview (UPSC), need not to fill the form and appear for the entrance test.
Only those candidates who have already completed their graduation and eligible to apply in Civil Services 2023 need to apply for Residential Coaching Academy, Jamia Millia Islamia.
Residential Coaching Academy will also conduct mock interviews for those who qualify for the personality test in Civil Services 2023.
The test series (for preliminary examination) will be conducted from January 2023 to April 2023.
The test Series (for mains examination) will be conducted from June 2023 to September 2023.
24*7 air conditioned library facility will be provided to the students.
The sports complex for Residential Coaching Academy's students will also be available as per the rules of the university.
Only 100 seats are available in this coaching programme.
Hostel accommodation is mandatory and will be provided to all admitted students.
In case of shortage, hostel seats will be allotted in a phased manner, on the basis of merit determined by the entrance test.
Maintenance charge of Rs. 1,000/- per month (to be paid in advance for at least six months i.e. Rs. 6,000/-) and Mess Charges in the range of Rs. 2500/- to Rs. 3000/- per month in advance will be paid by the students.
The application has to be submitted online with a fee of Rs. 850/- or + applicable basic charges.
The date of entrance test is tentative and may changed due to unforeseen circumstances.
