MINI celebrates 50th anniversary of The Italian Job
2019 marks the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first MINI and 50th anniversary of The Italian Job movie
To mark the occasion BMW/MINI is holding a celebratory screening of the movie for staff and invited guests at the Oxford plant which is the home of MINI
Film Producer Michael Deeley and stunt driver David Salamone are attending as is author Matthew Field who will be using the event to launch his new book, ’The Self Preservation Society'
60s replicas of some of the iconic vehicles featured in the film will be on display including the red, white and blue MINIs from the film.
Stunt drivers recreated the classic movie chase scene involving the 1960’s red, white and blue MINIs around the Oxford plant
Well over 3.5 million MINIs have been built at Oxford since 1959
