You know the character development is good when they can make you care about a duck Can you imagine that we literally went from a snowy island to a desert in a matter of minutes And it still works perfectly I’m so happy that we’re getting such a political and layered arc Because usually One Piece is pretty straight forward and simple The character development for literally everyone is so good Especially Vivi who is easily the highlight character of this arc But to be honest every single new character in this arc is iconic Crocodile, Bon Clay, Koza, they’re all so good And I just want to say that the fights between Luffy and Crocodile are probably the best fights in the series so far I am not joking when I say that Pell’s sacrifice is probably one of the sequences that made me the most emotional in all of anime One thing I’ll say is that it’s pretty hilarious that the bomb countdown that was meant to last a few minutes lasted several episodes Listen I think that’s one of the best arcs I’ve seen 10 out of 10
