3-4-1-2 Bombing Wingbacks | FM24 | Tactic Tests

The focus of this tactic is to utilize the wingbacks as your key players. The goal is to overload the middle of the pitch with players while pushing the wingbacks super wide. This then creates a 1-2-1-2-1-2 through the middle of the pitch which has loads of passing angles and opportunities. The idea is to play a few passes through this structure before getting into the middle of the pitch before playing the ball into the open space for the wingback to run into and attack.
The wingback will then look to cross the ball from the byline. Aiming at the top of the box where the 10 will look to sit in between the defensive lines or to the strikers who will be crashing the near and far post for tap-ins. The 2 CMs will also sit on the edge of the box when the 10 looks to crash as cutback options as well.
When the team will defend it will be 1 of 2 ways. Through counter pressing after losing the ball. If the ball is lost put wide the team will shift over to win possession forcing a long switch or ball in behind so that our GK who is playing very high will be able to clean up. If the ball is lost in the middle, they will press man for man and try to force it long or win the ball back high and attack from that opportunity.
When defending deeper the team will continue to press looking to close the space between the lines not allowing the opposition any open space except back by their own corner flag. The hope is they go through the middle and fall prey to our overload, or they are forced to go over us where our sweeper keeper will clean up any of those balls.
