Here's a kind of a map you don't see every day, These are called Ridgeline or Joy Plots. They are super cool looking and easier to make in ArcPRO than you might think. So get out your favorite DEM, dust off a couple of tools in PRO that you may not have used before, and get some Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy (plots) down in your heart!
Here's the tools we will use:
Export Raster
Densify
Copy parallel
Update Feature Z
Profile
0:00 - Silly intro
1:44 - Extract a DEM using the 'Export Raster' tool
4:06 - Use the 'Densify' tool to add vertices to a line
4:46 - Use 'Copy Parallel' tool to ... well... copy parallel lines
6:02 - Use 'Update Feature Z' to add elevations at vertices
6:25 - Use 'Profile' too' to create a bunch of profile lines
6:55 - Make a local scene
8:10 - Clean up the visuals to resemble a Ridgeline Plot
9:26 - Be amazed at the finished product
