Agua's comments: WOW, talk about a complex cover. Though I think it paid off in the end, as the reception for this one on Twitter seemed really positive (thank you all, genuinely).
There is a LOT to cover here. First the vocals for Hole Punch... my first idea was do Michael Jackson vocal chops, but that would be an INSANE amount of work that probably wouldn't have fit that well. So I ended up with a Juno chromatic with crazy effects and bitcrush.
As for BF, you may have noticed that after his face gets punched off, his vocals get different effects! That is not a flanger you're hearing - it's actually just layered with the chromatic scale for the opponent for Thrills At Night, which you'll get to listen to in full once that's out.
And finally... all the references. There's Stayin' Alive, which was also in V2 but I made it a lot more obvious (even making the character vowels match!), M.A.X. Power, and... a certain melody you may recognize if you're a jazz junkie. Heheh.
