Important Tips:
Refined saw is probably the most useful first tool.
You can definitely still farm purple cactus without the best car or tools, it will just be slower but is probably better than just farming kelp.
Same thing applies to mushrooms, it can be really easy money to just get a few mushroom caps.
Sawing machines are only really good if you have the best one.
Plankers will further increase how much you get. (sawed wood into a planker)
