7 days in Valencia, part 2: Valencia
My dear friends, I present to You the 2nd film of the series: "Valencia, what to watch for 7 days", depicting the capital of the region - Valencia (Valencia).

Valencia is a charming, old - built by the Romans - a city in and the capital of the Old Kingdom of Valencia, and today, the eponymous province of Spain.
Valencia is one of the most dynamic cities of Spain, third in terms of population (800 thousand people) city in the country after Madrid and Barcelona.
Located on the Mediterranean coast, four hours drive South of Barcelona and three hours East of Madrid.
The old centre of Valencia — a mixture of cultural and architectural styles, reminiscent of the rich history of the city. Among the main attractions is the tower of the former city wall, the Cathedral of Valencia is stored in it a Cup, recognized by the Catholic Church, the Holy Grail and openwork bell tower, the "Miguelete", the House of the Guild of silk weavers "La Lonja", the Museum of fine arts is one of the best in the country, with works by El Greco, velázquez, Goya. Deserves the attention of tourists and new symbol of the city — architectural ensemble of the "City of Arts and Science" (La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias), where Santiago Calatrava has completed a wonderful architectural project. Valencia is located on the South-East of the country and comprises three provinces:
Valencia (Valencia), which is located in the same administrative center of the region, famous for its amazing lagoon, centuries-old gastronomic traditions and fun holidays;
Alicante (Alicante) is a bizarre rugged waves of the beach, numerous tourist centers, the festival "Moors and Christians" reminiscent of the times of Arab conquest and Reconquista;
Castellón (Castellón) with the tourist resort towns on the coast and spectacular rugged mountain landscape.
Valencia from the most ancient times was inhabited by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Iberians and Romans. Traces of the Arab invasion is still manifest in agriculture and artisanal fisheries of the region, particularly in the irrigation and cultivation of rice or the famous citrus.
