Dr Nick Evans is a Stroke Association-funded Senior Clinical Lecturer. He is working on how frailty (our ability to withstand and recover from illnesses) affects people's responses to stroke treatments like thrombectomy and thrombolysis. Frail people are often excluded from research, which can lead to a vicious circle: we don’t know what treatments are safe and effective for them, and we can’t find out. Nick's research will change that.
