Will the people of Gaza succeed? Will the people of Gaza be able to fight back? Will they succeed? Will they win? The question that many people ask themselves. You can’t hide an awl in a sack.
The answer, which may surprise some of you, is neither yes nor no. The answer is that they have already succeeded. The people of Gaza have already won. They have already achieved triumph. No amount of gunpowder, or depleted uranium, or white phosphorus smoke, no matter how many bombs, all 12 thousand tons that have already been dropped on Gaza. Nothing can hide the fact that the issue is closed and the people of Gaza have already won. Allah has already granted them victory.
But here is the problem. The problem is that we limit the concept of victory to certain parameters. And when we do not see these parameters, we assume that Allah has abandoned us.
Please focus! Because this is the lesson of aqidah. When our understanding of victory is limited to the defeat of the enemy or the elimination of his occupation; preserving our lives and the lives of our children; protecting our property and preserving our territories. And when we do not see all this, we assume that Allah has turned away from us and has not granted us victory.
Who told you and who came up with the idea that victory is limited to only these conditions? This is only a small part. In the Islamic concept of victory, victory is much more.
Victory is when you live according to Islam and die in Islam. Victory is when you are granted shahada (martyrdom) by Allah. Victory is when you are humbled by the qadar - the decree of Allah. That is why I tell you that the people of Gaza have already achieved triumph. They have already been granted victory - the matter is decided: immediately, completely and forever. And nothing can be changed. Let me demonstrate.
The people of Gaza have already achieved triumph because they stood up for each other, and did not abandon each other to certain death. The people of Gaza, (didn't you notice?) did not even hint to shift the blame on each other, or to say: "This is all because of you! Or because of you! Or because of you! " The old and the young, the educated and the not so. They all stand hand in hand in the face of aggression, and no one blames his neighbor. They stand as a strong united front. They pay a high price for this, losing their children and relatives, declaring: "We are one!" This is victory!
Do you still doubt? Look at what is happening on the other side, in Tel Aviv. What do you see? You see disunity. You see how they threw their government to hell when it could not justify even the smallest worldly thing to its people.
While the people of Gaza stand united. Not blaming each other. Supporting each other. Helping each other. Giving each other confidence. So they have already achieved triumph.
They have already achieved triumph because they have humbly submitted to the decision of Allah, they are content. They did not oppose Allah. They did not challenge the decision of Allah to keep or take their children and their homes. Wherever you look, you hear only ha1amd Allah (praise be to Allah), praise be to Allah, glorified be Allah, submission to the decree of Allah. Therefore, the people of Gaza have already achieved triumph.
The people of Gaza have already achieved triumph and victory, and do you know why? Because all this happened at the very moment when the entire Palestinian confrontation was swept under the carpet. Just a few weeks ago, no one remembered Palestine. Gaza was forgotten. And the al-Aqsa Mosque was desecrated almost every day. The name of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was insulted right in the bahat - on the territory of the al-Aqsa Mosque, and not a single Muslim in the world even blinked an eye.
