Hello and welcome back to crazyRov studio, in this video we will look at how to take a backup for a SQL Database with an AlwaysON Availability group using the NMM plugin for SQL Management Studio.
There might be scenarios where SQL DBA’s would need complete and full control of the data protection operations. In this case they will be responsible to schedule and maintain backups and as a backup administrator your task is to make sure that the device and capacity is made available to the backup and restore activities.
In such a scenario we can use the NMM plug-in for SQL Management studio. In this video we will take a look at how to configure such a backup. You will however need the pool information before you start the backup.
