The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim "Saints and Seducers" Weapon Loading Pause on Xbox Elite Consoles
Last year when the "Saints and Seducers" content was included as part of Skyrim's 10th Anniversary, I began going through the Questline on my Xbox One X. As I acquired the new items, I noticed there was a pause for the item's image to load in your inventory, but I simply assumed it was the HDD taking longer to load the add-on content.
Flash forward to a month ago, and I began hotkeying and using a Dark Dagger, and I noticed when I switched to it the entire game would pause while, I assume, the asset loaded in.
The big kicker here though is I'm now playing on an Xbox Series X. This is happening on an SSD...
This does not occur with any other Creation Club content that I have to my knowledge. I also do not own a base Xbox One/Xbox One S/Xbox Series S, so I can not say if this issue is happening on all modern Xbox consoles or simply the "elite" versions.
I've created this video showing me swapping between a Dark Bow and Ebony Dagger to clearly show the pauses, and then I switch to an Ebony Bow to show it does not happen there.
This video is recorded on an Xbox Series X using the built in Capture and Share function, I've cleared my console's cache, and also did a complete clean install. I do not use any mods.
