Deadlock is Valve's upcoming MOBA/hero shooter game that has been in a public "closed beta" for around a year. Here, I am testing in on my AMD FirePro W7000 4GB, which is essentially the AMD Radeon HD 7870 with twice the memory capacity. The 7870 was AMD's mid range offering for their first line of GPUs based on their new GCN architecture, the HD 7000 series. These GPUs have a good reputation for aging better than their Nvidia counterparts in terms of performance. GCN's compute units have a lot more theoretical compute performance than their Nvidia counterparts, but games were never designed to/able to take full advantage of their complexities. For this reason, modern games tend to run better than you'd expect, as the GPU's compute potential has never been fully utilized. Modern games running Vulkan with asynchronous compute, like Doom Eternal or Wolfenstien 2, are very well suited to this architecture.
This is a retest/re-upload of a video I uploaded and then unlisted because a helpful viewer commented telling me to test without FSR, which I should have done! It definitely performs better without FSR 2 and even FSR 1. FSR 1 is noticeably heavier than "stretch" scaling, so you can use higher resolutions by forgoing FSR. Thanks to @jorge69696 for commenting on my original video informing me. This game appears to scale pretty well with the graphics options.
I would upload these videos at 60fps, but recording takes a noticeable amount of performance from the GPU, even when using CPU encoding in OBS. It reduces the frame rate a lot less to record at 30fps instead of 60fps, so that's why these videos don't look like 60fps/are 30fps 1080p.
