pFsense, OpenVPN Server Site to Site Configuration, My Virtualization Project Part 6A
In this video we will configure a shared key site to site VPN using pFsense OpenVPN.
Site to Site VPN allows remote Offices to establish a secure connection over Public network such as the Internet making computer resources available to users.
Once configured we will test it using Windows Remote Desktop for a more complete test than just Ping or Traceroute.
When configuring a shared key site-to-site OpenVPN connection one firewall will be the server and the other will be the client.
In this example, Site A, VMWP15.Com, will be the Server and Site B, Plaza.com will be the client.
Configuration of Site to site OpenVPM can be confusing at first but once you get to know their terminology it will get more clearer and easier.
There are Five main configurations you need to do to setup Site to Site OpenVPN Server.
1. Cofigure the Server for client access
2. Create a Shared Key to be distributed to clients
3. Create a WAN rule, set at the top of all rules
4. Create OpenVPN rule allowing all on OpenVPN
5. Configure the OPT interface.
