Hey everyone, you're tuned in to CLevverMusic. I'm your host Bridget Daly with your music news update. We've just gotten word that Justin Timberlake is already making headway with his plans to revamp Myspace. As we reported, he announced last week he was acquiring the social networking site with a California-based company, and they intend to give the it a makeover. Now we hear JT is planning on creating a music competition as a way to drive artists to the site. Justin's manager said in a statement that it will likely be a talent competition, but the details will be ironed out at a press conference later this summer. He added, "We definitely want to bring the industry back to Myspace to really look at the talented people that have put their faces there."
Inside sources say Justin is eager to get the ball rolling with the revamping of Myspace, and has been calling his partners saying his mind is dizzy with ideas. No further details have been announced, but JT will be holding a press conference August 17th to explain the company's new vision.
