I"m surprised bees aren't buzzin around him, cuz he surely MUST be made of honey and sugar!
Humphrey, (named after Bogart), a 5 yr old English Bulldog the color of yummy toffee, has been through the ringer. And yet, he is the sweetest 50 pound little cutie who just wanted to have my finger in his mouth. He kept doing it so much that I wonder if he was taken away from his mom too soon.
He looked at me with 1 eye open and the other 1/2 open. His skin had been shredded due to punctures and lacerations that are all over his head, neck and front arms. Also all his paws. Infected, swollen the day he arrived at Baldwin Park Shelter, but now, so much better. Thank you to the staff who also took care of the maggots in his ears. Sweetie Humphrey also has a laceration on his lower eyelid on one of his eyes - the squinty one. He has a stiff gait - all of these are noted on his medical.
Humphey had a flap of skin that was hanging down (seen in his video) that was tickling him and making him shake his head and then start scratching his head - that was leading to his lacerations opening up again. Thank you to the vet staff for fixing that! Now there is nothing to tickle him like before.
