DayZ Private Hive - Oldschool DayZ
Welcome to the return of old school DayZ. The style of DayZ that Me, Oshi and SquirrelsNuts became known for.
If you joined DayZ in the last couple of months then you have been exposed to the tail end of DayZ where scripting and duping has unbalanced the games. AS50 Thermal snipers plague the map and almost every player has range finders and thermal scopes. When our squad began playing several months ago it was hard to get weapons, you were considered 'geared' if you had an alice pack and an assault rifle, playing on Private Hive servers returns players to the genuine DayZ experience where battles are hard faught, gear is rare and firefights are intense.
This series shows my squad playing on a private hive server with custom loot tables, no thermal scopes and an anti-alt f4 script which replaces players with a standing copy of their player upon disconnection - this means players cant simple alt-f4 out of firefights and escape with their gear.
