The ice has settled, time for some ice fishing.
I've had my MORA ice drill lying around for years. I once sent the blades to be sharpened. They sharpened them, but the drill didn't work. They said the shape was complex and couldn't be sharpened properly. I was disappointed, of course, so I put the drill on the shelf and bought a new Russian-made ice drill with blades that can be sharpened on your knee in three planes.
And so, after many years, I decided to try sharpening these blades myself. Looking ahead, I can say that everything worked out on the first try.
This is the first video; there will be a second part featuring curved MORA blades.
My friend Alexey brought me the curved blades. It's a big responsibility. I'll sharpen them. And we'll test them together while fishing for zander.
