Animate active fire events
In this video, I will show you how to use R to access, process, and animate NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) data. FIRMS provides near real-time data on active fires and thermal anomalies detected by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instruments aboard NASA’s Earth observation satellites
