The music that he loved was the falling of a tree
He loved my Mama and his old hound dog
And a circle saw hummin’ through a hickory log
And I can almost hear that old steam engine blow
I see Daddy in a memory from a long time ago
It don’t seem so long but it’s been quite a while
Since I used to play on that old sawdust pile
