CAPsMAN (Controller Access Point system Manager) is a wireless controller feature that allows us to manage all the Mikrotik wireless access point devices that are on our network centrally.
CAPsMAN is a feature that will be very helpful in the implementation of wireless networks that are already quite large such as offices, campuses, RT / RW Net or even the Wireless ISP.
By applying CAPsMAN we can set several access point devices on one controller device. This provides convenience so that the network admin does not need to bother logging in and setting one AP device at a time.
The CAPsMAN feature is now available with a stable version on RouterOS v6.37 so be sure to install RouterOS v6.37 and above along with the WIreless package.
As for the hardware specifications requirements are divided into 2, namely:
CAP (Controlled Access Point), which is a Mikrotik wireless access point device.
System Manager (CAPsMAN), which is a device used to manage the CAP.
This device does not have to have a Wireless interface, but for specifications the device must adjust to the number of CAP handled.
