Let's Play Inside for the PC, which just released on Steam and is one of the games I have been looking forward to the most this year. So much so that I have spoiled absolutely nothing for myself. So we're going in blind. Follow the tale of a boy on the run from everything and everyone as we try and survive and try and figure out what the hell is going on. I'll say this much, I did not expect the game to be nearly as intense as it is. So this should be interesting. Come explore Inside with me as we try and piece together the narrative and see if there is anything left worth saving.
What is Inside: Playdead's follow up to the hit Limbo is another 2D puzzle platformer narrative that takes a look at the horrors of a world gone horribly wrong. The narrative does not force feed anything to you, instead Inside requires the player to take everything in, see if it is simple at face value, and work out not only why the world the way it is, but also how to survive to the next puzzle. Because yes, much like Limbo, everything is out to kill you. But why? What did the boy in the Red Shirt do? Run?
The developer's description of Inside is straight to the point: "Hunted and alone, a boy finds himself drawn into the center of a dark project." I have spoiled nothing of this game for myself. Let's see how I do.
