In this video we will see how to record your computer screen for free in 2017. We will be using Open Broadcaster Software (OBS in short).

Why we are using this software?
Advantages of using OBS, a free screen recording & streaming software -
#1. Safety - It is a open source software (like - VLC player) and like most of the open source softwares its coding is well observed by other developers and programmers and therefore it seems super safe to me. I have McAfee - Antivirus (paid) and it found the software good to use)

#2. Free - Many screen recording softwares you find on internet that advertise their softwares as free are not entirely free, like they offer few functionalities for free and to access all the functionalities of the screen recording software they ask for a fee. But OBS is truly completely free. Here are some good facts.
A - No limit on video length.
B - No paid functionality, all functionalities are free.
Like - Adding facecam, images, logos to videos. (For information - You have to add those images or logos before recording your screen).
#3. Streaming and game recording - We can use this free screen recording software for streaming and recording game plays as well. The above video is a simple tutorial covering only one functionality of the software. If you want more in-depth videos of OBS, let me know in comments.
Disadvantages of OBS screen recorder -
#1. No editing functionality - We can’t edit our screen recordings using this software. For editing our videos we have to use some other video editing softwares.
#2. Minor problem with file sizes - We can certainly record high quality videos with OBS, there is no doubt in that. But the file sizes are generally higher as compared to paid softwares.
#3. Little more complex than some other screen recording softwares.
