The Situation Reaction Test (SRT) is a psychological test conducted in the SSB (Services Selection Board) to assess a candidate's ability to handle real-life situations under pressure. It evaluates decision-making, problem-solving, leadership, and emotional stability.
How is the SRT Conducted?
You are given 60 real-life situations and 30 minutes to respond.
Each situation is a short problem statement, and you must write how you would react.
Your response should be logical, practical, and show officer-like qualities (OLQs).
Example SRT Questions & Answers
🔹 Situation 1:
You are traveling by train and suddenly, a fire breaks out in your compartment.
✅ Best Response: Pull the emergency chain, alert passengers, use available fire extinguishers, and help evacuate calmly.
🔹 Situation 2:
You see a child stuck on a railway track while a train is approaching.
✅ Best Response: Run to save the child if possible, signal the train driver, and seek help from nearby people.
🔹 Situation 3:
You are leading a group trek, and one of your team members gets injured badly.
✅ Best Response: Provide first aid, support the injured person, and arrange for immediate evacuation to a hospital.
