How to Enter Fractions in Excel
Learn how to easily work with fractions in Excel through this beginner-friendly video.
Whether you're dealing with halves, quarters, or other fractions, you have two methods at your disposal.
You can either use the format cells dialog box by selecting your desired cells, going to the Home tab, and choosing from fraction options.
Alternatively, employ a keyboard shortcut by selecting your cells and pressing Control + 1.
Then, in the Format Cells dialog box, choose the Number tab, pick Fraction under Category, and hit OK.
Don't forget, you can also directly input fractions by adding a space between the whole number and the fraction, like typing "6 7/8" and pressing Enter.
