Peterbuilt 300 Series Trucks Speedometer / Tachometer Repair
Peterbuilt 300 Series Trucks can experience sticking or inoperative speedometer and or tachometer gauges.
Gauges should return to base settings when truck is turned off and if they stick in place or fail to operate, the gauge motors may be faulty and need replaced.
Service may include but are not limited to the following in the 2006 - 2012 model years: 365, 367, 378, 379, 384, 386, 387, 388, 389
If the speedometer / tachometer portion of your cluster is failing you can remove that portion from the rest of the instrument cluster and replace it or send it in for service.
Mileage is stored in the speedometer portion of as shown in the video so if you are replacing it with a used one you will have incorrect mileage.
