This flight was a perfect illustration of why I love having my instrument rating, and a well equipped airplane to use it in. I learned a bunch on this one, and was inspired to share it.
This started as an assembly of a raw #IFR flight to debrief and share with Patreon supporters.
But as it came together, I was inspired to make it an actual episode…
It’s not overly exciting or cinematic, but it is a good old school / real time ride along / debrief with a bunch of aviation learning nuggets.
It also showcases my new wing tip camera mount.
A future episode will do more of a deep dive into the camera mounting rig and what I do to safely capture footage from multiple angles while flying.

I've always known FlightFlix is a leader in terms of camera and equipment mounting for exterior and interior of vehicles and aircraft.

FLIGHT CHOPS DISCLAIMER:

I am a "weekend warrior" private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial. I have had my PPL for over 20 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve.... Having GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share. Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive.
