Sometimes when we try to connect an external storage media like a USB drive to our Android phone, the drive fails to connect. The USB drive works well on our computer system, but our Android device doesn't identify it. Most of the time, this happens due to the file system of the USB drive. On our Windows system, we format our USB drive as per Windows' file system. But not all Windows file systems are supported by Android natively.
In this video, we will see which Windows file systems, namely NTFS, FAT32, and exFAT, are supported by Android. If we are planning to use an external storage drive with Android devices, then it is better to format that storage drive with a file system that Android devices can support without any need to use third-party applications. And this has to be done before putting any data on the storage drive (formatting process erases all the data in the storage drive).
I hope this video proves to be informative. Thank You.
