Many to most old Märklin locos use a type of motor called the "Allstrom" motor, which was an AC/DC Field Coil motor. These could only be converted to digital from analog using the specifically designed decoder #60906
In this video I take a Märklin #3065 V363 (V60) diesel shunting locomotive and show how I took it from analog to digital. I do not film the entire process; this is not a how-to video. It just shows some stages in the process.
