Making R2-D2 - Finishing Up The R2 Build Project with Q&A.
Welcome to the final video in my Making R2-D2 build series. Today we'll be installing all the finishing details, fully testing R2's drive system, and answering a few common questions that have been asked throughout this series.
Of course the question arises... "is an R2 build ever actually finished?"
I suppose not; he's like a house build. There is always stuff to add, improve, fix and update; but for all intents & purposes, my R2 build is now finished and I hope this full start to finish R2-D2 build series has helped you get a better idea of the scope of making a full size 3D printed R2-2D if you decide to give it a go as well.
It has been so fun and enjoyable! No question, there were frustrations & head scratching along the way - but figuring out solutions was not only rewarding, it only helps improve your problem solving skill set; and for us RC'ers, DIY'ers & makers, that experience is priceless.
